Dear learners, before we say something about the course, the course writers would like to warmly welcome all of you and equally invite for hard work and success in life and your professional career. It is by the motto ´´success usually follows appropriate effort´´, that we forwarded this piece of advice. The global competition and swiftness of changes emphasize the importance of human capital within organizations, as well as the swiftness and ways of knowledge gaining of that capital. Knowledge gaining and development of skills and attitudes are becoming basic capital and the trigger of development. Modern institutions therefore use their resources (money, time, energy, information, etc.) for permanent training and advancement of their employees. Institutions which are constantly creating new knowledge, extending it through the entire departments and implementing it quickly inside the new technologies, develop well equipped graduates and render excellent services. These activities determine the institution as a learning organization with constant innovation being its sole business.

Practice shows that: The ´´response´´ of higher vocational majors´ adaption to the development demand is not limited to the ´´early warning´´ or ´´cancellation´´ , ´´change´´ or ´´new establishment´´ of majors, but more importantly ´´adjustment´´, meaning the adjustment and optimization of major establishment connotation (curriculum system, curriculum content, teaching methods, practice arrangements, etc.), which will run through the entire major establishment and talent training cycle. Therefore, the response of each process link must be focused by results research.
The emergence of schools as institutions for the education of the young, and now in many cases for the education of adults has led to the emergence of the teacher as the person charged with the responsibility of educating the young and the not so young. Teaching is a distinct educational category or profession. For this reason, it has its mores and taboos. Things are done in certain ways and not in the others. In order to ensure that student teachers become better familiar with and employ teaching methods that lead to better understanding of lessons taught, the student teacher is usually sent on teaching practice that could exchange his/her suitability and proficiency in instructing the learners. It is during this exercise that the teacher in training is expected to sharpen his/her skills, helped by advice from his supervisor, who is usually a teacher sent from his teacher training college. This book: Teaching Practice and Supervision (Principles and Practical Approach) is an account of the activities of the teacher when he/she is on teaching practice and that of the supervisor who supervises him/her.
The last few years have been exciting years and a number of new developments have been witnessed in the field of higher education. Hence the present study to attempt a review of the scheme of vocationalisation at first year undergraduate level was undertaken. The results of our empirical study show a mixed picture of the vocational courses as the situation exists today. It is evident that the progress of vocational education programme has been very slow. There are many issues and problems responsible for slow progress. These are related to curriculum, training methods, faculty, funds, availability of resources and labour market outcomes. It is hoped that this will serve as a practical guide on continuous debate on vocationalisation of education. The present volume will be very useful to economists and other social scientists and educational administrators.
